Job Description

  • Employee will carry out as a Technical Manager

  • Provides overall technical and regulatory leadership

  • Provides support to marketing activities

  • Plays support function on Tender Management

  • Facilitates and carries out communications with manufacturers, as instructed

  • Carries out the tasks listed below under the direct supervision of the General Manager

    Regulatory Affairs

  • Provides technical leadership and carries out all regulatory activities of the Company

  • Compiles required documents from suppliers for submissions, license renewals and registrations and maintenance of product registration dossiers for authorities.

  • Carries out and facilitates registration of products with EFDA

  • Serves as a primary liaison between ZE-EL Trading PLC and EFDA (EFMHACA) and Ensures that product registration process is closely followed up 


  • Ensures compliance of products with the current Regulatory standards.

  • Deliver regulatory assessment/advice as part of overall business planning/strategies.

  • Carries-out timely and consistent communication with the General Manager on activities process update and changes in Regulations

  • Keeps abreast on latest regulatory requirements and developments in the countries.

  • Builds strong relationship with key authorities in the Ethiopia.

  • Communicates regularly with EFDA on regulatory updates and issues.

  • Develops and communicates short, medium and long term regulatory strategies to enhance growth and business performance.

  • Ensure that the content, organization and overall
    quality of all regulatory documents and samples are adequate and complies with regulatory requirements, commitments and agreements.

  • Maintain database with information on regulatory requirements.

  • Ensuring that a company's products comply with the regulations of the EFMHA.

  • Keeping up to date with international and national regulatory standards.

  • Perform other related duties as required by immediate supervisor.

  • Company will utilize the Employee’s professional license for the Company

  • Provides support function for tenders for both private PFSA and private tenders for both pharmaceuticals and medical supplies and devices

    Marketing and Promotion

  • Advise on innovative marketing strategies, and plans for the Company and ensures that they are implemented accordingly

  • Ensures that product promotion materials are prepared and distributed appropriately

  • As required and as tasked, will lead the organization of medical marketing events through CME Forums

    Job Requirements

    Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Pharm with more than 5 years of experience in the regulatory environment

  • Experience in Marketing is a plus

  • Having MBA provides an added advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in computer skills

  • Open minded, committed, honest, reliable and consistent

  • Meets deadlines
