Job Description

Maintain up-to-date records of all stock movements to ensure that optimum stock levels are maintained.

Verifies and ascertains all requested materials and services to be purchase are according to approved budget or special decision.

Ensures that daily accounting documents are available for data entry.

Enter all data available for finance recorded to the system daily.

Receive stocks ensuring that these are correct in terms of number and specification.

Check that all store documents are approved by authorized person before recording.

Check that invoice are prepared for each delivery other than delivery to branch store.

Register the receiving and issuing cost of foreign and local purchased goods, equipment and other properties.

Conduct periodic reconciliation of stock with store record as well as with the general ledger.

Checks approved journal entries of account books are journalized correctly.

Maintain contact with relevant departments to ensure that stock items and stock levels are appropriate to their requirements.

Participate periodic and annual inventory.

Conduct periodic reconciliation of stock with store record as well as with the general ledger.

Assist in providing support in all aspects of financial control and reconciliations.

Assist in preparing the annual budget.

Conduct periodic reconciliation of stock balance.

Performs other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor

Job Requirements

BA Degree in Accounting or Procurement or relevant business fields

A minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Computer literate,

Good record of Integrity,

Ability to withstand pressures,

Proactive
