Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or any related field from a recognized university
Professional Registration
•Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
Minimum Experience
•3+ years of experience in human resource management

•Thorough knowledge of labour legislation
•Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
Purpose of Job (Responsibilities)
Key Results Areas (Accountabilities)
Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
Analyse trends and metrics and project appropriate actions
Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Identify business improvement and optimization opportunities
Provide HR policy guidance
Identify training needs for teams and individuals
Assist in drafting policies, processes and procedures
Partner with Compensation and Benefits and Talent Management and Development sections to address trends, organizational changes, employee services and drive associated programs.
Provides the day-to-day performance management guidance to line management and supervisory staff
Ensure uniform administration of policies, procedures and practices
Ensure trends are identified and solutions recommended to improve the overall health of the organization and monitor the "pulse" of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Ensure consultations with managers and employees on employee relations issues, conduct investigations and make recommendations in response to management and employee concerns
Participate in the development, design and implementation of retention strategies and programs to ensure the retention of top talent.
Ensure to attend and address issues from staff and Union meetings.
Ensure key HR initiatives and programs to improve employee performance are implemented within various business units.
Deliver HR core policies and processes to business units and recommend policy enhancements that further HR and organizational initiatives.
Ensure development plans for all supported business units are done and follow up on training and development actions
Ensure all assigned policies, processes and procedures are drafted and submitted as per plan
Ensure that Compensation and Benefits and Talent Management and Development initiatives and services are timely implemented or provided.
Ensure that all
Line Managers and Supervisors in the supported business unit’s complete performance plans and reviews on time and undertake regular performance coaching.
Qualifications and Experience
Attributes and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or any related field from a recognized university
3+ years of experience in human resource management.
Excellent people management skills
Analytical and goal oriented
Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
Thorough knowledge of labour legislation
Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.
