Reporting directly to the Senior Systems Developer, the jobholder will be responsible for developing prescribed business applications in Zambia Revenue Authority and to ensure they meet business needs. .
Main Duties/Accountabilities
• Gather and analyses system requirements through collaboration with cross functional team Members; )
• Carry out system development and implementation for systems that will assist in achieving a sustainable increase in revenue collection; )
• Ensure that development systems adhere to policies, procedure and standards, )
• Ensure that developed systems adhere to high levels of security and system/data integrity; )
• Conduct/facilitate system testing for all developed system, ensuring that all identified system bugs are fixed; )
• Document all systems developed according to system development standards and ensure that the accepted methodology is followed; )
• Strengthen existing information systems to enhance efficiency, coordination and complete integration between various ZRA systems; )
• Ensure that system enhancements are affected as prescribed; and )
• Ensure that system changes are tested before installation.

• Understanding and skills in AI, Robotics, Data Science, Big Data;
• Understanding of Windows, Linux
and UNIX operating systems;
• Planning and Problem solving skills; and
• Innovation mindset.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Equivalent;
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
• Minimum of two years' work experience in systems development OR proven skills in developing systems and applications;
• Working knowledge of Java / C#.NET / Python/R/JSON/SOAP;
• Ability to develop web (Both server and client side) and mobile apps (Android, loS, USSD);
• Relational Database Training (Oracle or SQL databases); and
• Proven experience in Systems analysis and designing.
