WWF Manager - Corporate Marketing Partnerships Kenya Jobs
WWF launched a new strategy that harnesses the strengths of the WWF network in a shared vision, focussing on six major goals - water, wildlife, the ocean, climate and energy, forests, and food – and three key drivers of environmental problems – markets, finance and governance.
In support of this strategy WWF undertook a redesign of its international secretariat that will further unite WWF offices and its near 6,400 staff around the world. This will help WWF to build stronger partnerships across the world with government, business, civil society and individuals. Together, we will deliver on WWF’s ambitious goals.
We are recruiting the role of Manager, Corporate Marketing Partnerships for our International Secretariat to help us achieve our new ambitious goals, and build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
Main responsibilities:
(Co-)manage key cross-territory partnerships in collaboration with Network Offices as required:
H&M (fashion brand with headquarters in Sweden): Work closely with WWF Sweden communicator on the last development of the collection before the launch in September, brief offices on a bi-monthly basis, gather all local activation around the network, monitor performance and share results internally (offices, GPC) and with the partners. Support on the renewal discussions and new opportunities
Alpro (Plant based dairy company based in Belgium): Look at opportunities to expand the current partnership, as well as brainstorm with the network on how to bring the one planet concept into the marketing space.
Provide ongoing support to NO’s on a range of issues related on to cause and product marketing including input on the development and management of national Corporate Marketing Partnerships, support on legal and commercial issues relating to trademarks and crisis management where necessary, develop and share new case study for Corporate Marketing Partnerships.
Regional deals: flag in the network successful local partnerships with potential for local replication or expansion in the country and region where the applicant is based.
The focus will be on: helping on the new business development phase, ensuring corporate guidelines are well followed, supporting on the approval process (GPC, network) and the co-management (if required).
Together with the Global Partnership team Practices liaison and the Practice team, develop the CMP component of each Practice: the key consumer ask, partner mapping for “CMP priority” HII, development of the tool kit “CMP priority” HII. Key focus on applicant’s region related HII.
Support on the Partnership activation around some of the FY19-20 global programs like the Netflix/Silverback “Our Planet” and upcoming international campaigns.
Support on the development of the Corporate Marketing Partnership virtual community with webinars, often refreshed google site and common network projects.
Required Qualifications, Skills and
Competencies:
A university degree in business, marketing, legal or social sciences;
At least 7 years of experience in marketing, business development and/or corporate fundraising, preferably in the private sector and in an international environment
Excellent communication, negotiation and diplomatic skills;
Ability to relate convincingly and credibly with senior business executives;
Strong organizational skills and ability to work within a virtual network;
Ability to conceptualize and create products which link programme with business interests;
Strong interest in promoting sustainable practices within business;
Excellent command of English.
