Purpose of the position:To increase the overall influence, income and impact of World Vision Kenya for child well-being by leading core communications and media functions. The incumbent is responsible to manage the planning and production of compelling and issues-oriented fundraising, advocacy and publicity content (web-based, electronic, print and video) for effective donor and public engagement by WV Kenya – both in-country and internationally.

Quality sponsorship 2.0 products to gain and retain sponsors for enhanced child well-being in Kenya
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communication, or equivalent; Master’s degree is an added advantage
Minimum five years’ experience working with communications and media in international NGOs or large Media Companies, two of which must be in supervisory level; Experience in fundraising and publishing will be an added advantage
High standard of copy and sub editing skills with proven ability to write creatively and edit communication narratives or resources and reports.
Excellent computer skills; Graphic Design and desktop publishing skills an added advantage
Fluency in English.
Proven experience of training and capacity building in journalism, media engagement, video or communications.
Knowledge of the principles of good design, content and editing
Excellent communications skills and understanding of new and multi media
Thorough knowledge of the communication and media industry with strong media links
Must have good photography skills

World Vision International NGO Response Director Jobs Openings in Kenya
Purpose of the position:
The Response Director (RD) has primary responsibility for directing the response from strategy to implementation, inclusive of performance and oversight of all aspects of the response. She/he should develop and maintain an efficient, cohesive team, while ensuring effective coordination and relationships with the other agencies, officials, beneficiaries, donors and all areas of the Partnership.
Responsibilities
Develop and monitor implementation of response strategy that addresses WV strategic goals to meet humanitarian needs
Ensure response is staffed to meet response needs:
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with humanitarian actors, government representatives, World Vision stakeholders, the media and general public:
Develop and plan response to achieve response strategy goal and objectives:
Implement response programme in accordance with commitments to meet international and WV standards:
Initiate response funding mechanisms with support of ND, RL & Regional HEA Director (RHEAD):
Ensure that response meets World Vision minimum quality standards and supports program improvement, reflection, learning and innovation:
Oversee Security function, planning and implementation to ensure response staff and organisational safety and security:
Qualifications
A minimum of 5-7 years in leadership role in the humanitarian assistance and development sector, with a significant
Portion of this in INGOs.
5 years experience in humanitarian assistance work.
Demonstrated understanding of key humanitarian principles, standards and best practices.
University degree in Humanitarian Studies or relevant field. Masters degree preferred.
Intensive experience in leading a multi-cultural team of professionals.
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.

Purpose of the position:
The Partnership Leader Advocacy & External Engagement - (PL A&EE) will provide overall leadership and strategic oversight to our Advocacy and External Engagement across the partnership engaging heavily in both internal and external components of this work. This highly influential role is critical to delivering key aspects of World Vision’s first ever global strategy – Our Promise 2030. The post holder will champion Strategic Imperative #3 of Our Promise 2030 “Collaborating and advocating for broader impact: Changing from largely working on our own, in our way, to partnerships, joint ventures and advocacy with those who share our goals”.
Responsibilities
Lead development of strong external relationships especially in the global capitals –(New York, Geneva, Brussels and Addis):
Lead Strategic Initiative (SI 3.2); Equip and support National Offices:
Empower all Global Centre (GC) teams to develop and implement external engagement plans focused on the achievement of Child Well Being (CWB) Objectives:
Provide global leadership on implementation of Agenda 2030:
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in international studies or relevant field;
A minimum of 10 years leadership and operational experience in international relief and development activities;
Strong understanding of and experience in international development and key current policy debates;
Strong knowledge of the child rights agenda and Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development;
Demonstrated track record at global level of external influence and of establishing and leading strategic partnerships;
Very strong organizational leadership that enables post holder to have a “whole of partnership” view and not just a narrow sectoral view;
Excellent communications skills;
Successful track record of functioning effectively at senior levels across large and complex multinational organizations (C-suite level);
Proven ability to be a risk taker – ability to make timely tough decisions on when and how to speak out and when to advocate more discreetly;
Exceptional relational, negotiating and cross cultural skills that develop trust and enable achievement of job objective, both internally and externally;
