World Vision International NGO Pharmacist - Global Fund Employment Vacancies in Kenya
Purpose of the PositionThe incumbent will be the focal point person for all Global Fund pharmacy activities. He / She will monitor the national pipelines for all TB commodities to ensure that adequate quantities of required commodities are readily available for distribution. The position holder will provide technical assistance and support for the development and management of a national procurement plan for all TB related commodities. He /She will be responsible for conducting quarterly integrated supportive supervision of TB centres and develop SOPs for use in the management of TB commodities.
Responsibilities
Develop and periodically review Pharmacovigilance (PV) guidelines and written instructions.
Ensure quarterly reporting on Pharmacovigilance, Drug Resistance Surveillance (DRS) and Rational use of drugs.
Lead Capacity Assessment and training initiatives focusing on Tuberculosis management centers and follow-up on the implementation of capacity-building plans.
Provide training to key partners and stakeholders on quantification and forecasting, storage, Logistics Management Information System (LMIS), distribution and rational use of drugs.
Lead in the Quality Assurance and Quality Control of medical products at all levels of the supply chain.
Participate in Annual Evaluation Missions by Global Drug Facility and other missions.
Participate in the supply chain technical working group meeting with stakeholders that will include; Ministry of Health, UNICEF Somalia, WHO-Somalia and UNFPA – Somalia.
Responsible for the maintenance and implement the LMIS system
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the Global Fund Price Quality Reporting (PQR) database.
Maintain an auditable procurement documentation in compliance with Global Fund standards.
Act as a resource person for all pharmaceutical matters in the implementation of the Global Fund grant.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in public care health management.
Knowledge in procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals will be an added advantage.
Past experience in implementation of Global Fund grants will be an added advantage.
Should demonstrate experience in capacity-building and excellent report writing skills.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team and culturally diverse environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, communication skills, ability to identify and resolve policy and operational constraints.
Knowledge of appropriate systems and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Should demonstrate ability to multitask, set priorities and work with minimal supervision.

World Vision International NGO Vision Fund International Regional Finance Manager, Africa Employment Vacancies in Kenya
Purpose of the Position
VisionFund International (VFI) is seeking a senior finance expert with good finance, accounting and regulatory experience and management skills. The Regional Finance Manager will work under the direction of the Regional Finance Director of Africa (RFD) to streamline all financial and accounting issues in VisionFund’s various Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) in the region, guiding and coaching the CFOs and Finance Managers ensuring that they have proper internal controls,
Responsibilities
Control Environment - Support the process of installation of electronic financial systems in the MFIs and train staff to make good use of it for the benefit of the business. Monitor the preparation of financial reports to ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations. Supervise compliance with tax requirements. Ensure that basic internal controls (reconciliation, integration, segregation of duties, approval limits, etc) are in place and followed.
Monitor the closing of financial issues reported by internal audit, external audit and regulator especially those considered as prudential norms. Support the updating of the financial manual and its implementation and compliance and when required help preparing exceptions to policies.
MFI Planning and Budgeting - Support the planning process of MFIs providing training and coaching to the CFOs in the preparation of quality and realistic
projections and helping them to cascade the projections to branch level within their MFI.
Funding - Monitor funding needs in the MFIs, supporting them with monthly cash flow projections that are aligned with approved funding plans. Organize monthly funding calls and monitor covenant compliance.
Risk Management - Ensure that all MFIs have updated risk management tools in place (E.g. Risk appetite, Risk Register, ALM procedures) and they are making meaningful use of ALCO and Management Risk Committees to monitor and control financial and operational risks on a monthly basis.
Administration - Conduct regular visits to MFIs with a plan approved by RFD and prepare reports of the visits. Support preparation of performance plan and performance evaluation. Support the RFD in the preparation of operational and financial reports. Support the preparation of operational reports and provide information that is requested from VFI global centre colleagues.
Qualifications
Degree in finance or accounting, CPA or ABBA certificate preferred.
Good communication and relational skills in both oral and written forms, with cross cultural sensitivity as this role will work with colleagues from many areas of the world.
Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and projects.
Given the need to control financial risk within the MFI's, this position requires a deep financial analysis and accounting understanding, preferably with some audit background.
Understanding of balance sheet, risk management including interest rate risk, liquidity risk and foreign exchange risk as well as bank funding processes and contracting.
Must be experienced in use of database software systems and Excel.
Advance knowledge of Excel can be of great advantage for the job.

Ability to work independently but also collectively within a virtual, global team.
Detail oriented.
Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
