World Vision International Regional HIV/AIDS Advisor Jobs in South Africa
Purpose of Position:The primary purpose of this position is to build capacity of 9 Southern Africa National Offices (NOs) in HIV & AIDS programming, support them in grant acquisition and management, particularly PEPFAR, Global Fund as well as developing and implementing Health and HIV&AIDS technical approaches and programs in alignment with Global Centre (GC) and international best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
National Offices develop and implement Technical Approaches and Programs that meet partnership standards and meet international standards.
Capacity Development:
Capacity of national offices in HIV/AIDS and OVC Programing built (e.g. develop ability to implement HIV prevention programs for adolescents).
External Representation and Coordination:
WV Represented in HIV/AIDS programing in the region with major donors such as Global Fund, EU and US Government.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have a degree in health related field (Bachelor of Medicine, Nutrition, Nursing or other related field) with a Masters in Public Health preferred.
Minimum of seven years of experience in managing HIV/AIDS programs or projects in developing countries.
Ability to work in a matrix environment excellent skills required in program design, reporting and documentation, and monitoring and evaluation.

Be a trusted partner and source of truth on regional market knowledge – including macro trends, consumer needs and trends, and respective support office challenges and opportunities.

Required:
7-10 years in marketing, fundraising or related role, including 2 years at a leadership level with demonstrable success in achieving growth.
Exceptional ability to lead change through relationship and influence, across diverse teams and cultures.
Exceptional intellectual ability - a clear strategic marketing thinker.

Set Strategic Priorities:
Within the context of the Partnership strategy, responsible for helping us answer “what sector approaches drive impact”, “what learning can we apply” and ‘what new innovations should we adopt’.
Champion cross-sector collaboration around scalable innovative solutions.
Develop sector guidance ((including global minimum standards, project models, capacity building strategies and curricula, and M&E tools).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Master’s degree in a relevant academic field
In-depth knowledge of sector programming including evidence based sector programming.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in sector programming in field location.
Experience in overseeing or supporting multi country programmes.
