Job Description:Preparation of Financial Reports for sponsorship and/or grant ProjectsPrepare complete, accurate and timely AP financial/grant reports and submit to the AP manager, other internal and external stakeholders as per WVE financial manual
Handle issuance of all payments
Ensure proper approval for all payment requests in accordance with WVE authorization limit
Handle all Bank related AP Financial Businesses
Handles all bank matters including bank signatories, bank reconciliation and bank deposits
Financial Data processing
Ensure AP projects financial data processing and keep all accounts are current and up-to-date
Guarantee Financial Policies compliance
Review business & travel advance requests & ensure timely settlement
Financial planning and Budget control
Involve in budget preparation, cash flow analysis, budget management and control in collaboration with program staff.
Handle internal & external Audit
Coordinate the pre-audit preparation for the AP internal, local external and Global Centre
(GC) audit and ensure implementation of audit recommendations
Handle Cash requests and its management
Handle cash request and management to ensure ADPs month end cash balance according to the APs target low (i.e.1.12 of the AP’s annual budget) and request fuel coupon as per the need
Team Management
Engage in and ensure that appropriate tools like Coaching For Performance (CFP) and mentoring, etc are practiced within the department to enhance smooth staff relations and accountability;
Insurance Documentation
Review and submit insurance data related to community workers, vehicle, motor cycle to PrO and annual insurance survey data to National Office for timely annual insurance renewal
Procurement planning and follow up
Follow-up and ensure purchased items of the AP at HO and PrO are
collected as per the requested date of delivery
Support AP Mgmt. in Administrative matters
Advice the AP Manager on Financial and Administrative Issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
Minimum Qualification required:
BA Accounting and Finance , 2 - 4 years in relevant field and NGOs experience is preferred
License, registration, or certification required to perform this position:
Effective in written and verbal communication in English and Afaan Oromo.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Preferred: Work experience in community development and/or Humanitarian environment
List additional work experience preferred for this position.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Excellent computer skills in Excel & Sun-systems software
Good understanding of transformational development
At least five years’ work experience in NGO environment or development related field
Understanding of World Vision’s development programs;
Good presentation, communication, networking and partnering skills;
Highly skilled in data analysis using computer packages like Epi-info, SPSS, MS-Word, MS-Access, MS-Excel;
Participatory Program and Project Designing, Monitoring and Evaluation Experience;
A strong aptitude for organizational change, innovation, learning, team building;
