5. World Vision Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator Jobs in Kenya
Purpose of the Position:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator has overall responsibility for providing coordination and leadership for monitoring and evaluation of the grant, including both formative (pre-intervention) and summative research (post-intervention).
The position provides coordination and leadership on monitoring, evaluation, quality Improvement and research components of the project. Develop monitoring, evaluation, and reporting (MER) systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, targets and a plan to evaluate performance and produce timely accurate and complete reporting.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership and Support
Develop and update framework for grant M & E in accordance to the design document and donor requirements
Ensure that the project’s interventions are effectively supported in terms of the assessment, design, implementation, baseline, monitoring, evaluation, transition, learning and documentation
Participate in development of the annual work plan and budgets, ensuring alignment with technical approach
Take lead in conducting periodic peer reviews to check for alignment and compliance to USAID and WV Partnership standards
Ensure that Sub grantees demonstrate required M & E capacity and produce quality M & E reports
Ensure that core information for grant management, partners, and funding agencies is available.
Identify the requirement for collecting baseline data, prepare terms-of-reference for and arrange the conducting of a baseline survey, as required.
Clarify and facilitate process for monitoring and evaluations of sub-grantees
Oversee and execute M & E activities with particular focus on results and impacts as well as lesson learnt
Conduct readiness assessment: the incentives at the system level, the beneficiaries and existing capacity
Identify the need and draw up the ToRs for specific studies; procure, guide and supervise consultants or organizations that are contracted to implement special surveys and studies required for evaluating grant effects and impacts
Ensure timely communication of M & E findings at all levels
Quality Assurance
Ensure the successful development, elaboration and roll out of implementation strategies and operational guidelines
Coordinate and ensure the timely submission of a quality and comprehensive progress report
Guide staff and executing partners in preparing their progress reports in accordance with approved reporting formats and ensure their timely submission.
Prepare consolidation progress reports for grant management including identification of problems, causes of potential bottlenecks in the project implementation, and providing specific recommendations
Undertake regular visits to the field to support implementation of M & E and to identify where adaptations might be needed
Capacity Building
Organize (and provide) refresher training in M & E for grants staff, implementing partners, local organizations and primary stakeholders with view of strengthening local M & E capacity
Ensure the consolidation of a learning culture - based upon evidenced based best practices and industry standards - to enable project staff to achieve and/or surpass established targets and standards and;
Impart appropriate mentoring, coaching and supervision in order to equip, motivate and empower technical specialists in the area of M & E.
Clarify M & E responsibilities of different project personnel.
Networking and Engagements
Ensure involvement of stakeholders in M & E process as appropriate
Network with external and WV internal partners to promote learning and achieve M & E excellence
Ensure effective engagement with Government departments, Regional technical/sector representatives.
Skills and Experience
A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline
A minimum of 8 years working in monitoring, evaluation and research in the public health field, with progressively increasing level of responsibility.
Experience in strengthening local organizations and building local capacities for self-management
Experience working with multiple stakeholders and familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and
qualitative research and analytical methods including research/study design and implementation, design and data analysis, rapid appraisals, etc.
Demonstrated hands-on practical experience setting up and managing MER systems for health programs in developing countries.
Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation skills, knowledge management and dissemination of research findings (in English).
Demonstrated knowledge of management information systems
Working Environment:
Work environment: Office based with frequent travel to the field
Travel Required: Domestic/international travel is required.

6. World Vision Finance Manager Jobs in Kenya
The Grant Finance Manager is responsible for the financial management of the Family Planning/Reproductive Maternal Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (FP/RMNCAH) USAID-funded grant from start-up through close-out. The incumbent will ensure proper financial management, accountability, planning, and reporting in alignment with the goals of the grant, World Vision financial procedures, USAID regulations, and the grant agreement.
The manager will provide detailed financial analysis, reporting system and process development, training and support.
Responsibilities:
Budget Management
Lead the development and implementation of the annual project operating budget, monitor actual performance and develop project projection
Prepare financial plans, proposal budgets, amendments, and extensions for the life of an award up to and including close-out.
Analyze spending trends and provide feedback and analysis to team leaders and field colleagues on areas with significant over- or under spending
Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows and expenditures
Consult Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party on cost allocations, general accounting, internal controls and administrative systems as required
Audit and Compliance
Ensure adequate financial systems in place and accounting practices and standards are adhered to, and are in accordance with quality and policy requirements from WV and US Government.
Prepare close-out documentation at end of funding cycles in compliance with USG and government regulations
Build capacity of local partners on US G compliance regulations
Ensure procurement procedures are in alignment with USG and WV policies.
Ensure implementation of audit recommendations
Implement financial policies in accordance with World Vision Field Financial Manual, Donor Rules and Regulations and local financial regulations
Capacity Building and Supervision
Ensure training in financial management for project team and partners including local organizations
Identify capacity building needs of all finance staff in the project and ensure relevant trainings are conducted.
Ensure strong leadership to the finance team
Skills and Experience
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or international business management
Must be a certified public accountant – CPAK or ACCA equivalent
At least 5 years of accounting and grants management experience, of which three must be USG grant experience
Strong experience in sub-grantee management
Experience in supervision and management of staff
Excellent command of Excel and SunSystem
Strong background in financial management systems
Working Environment:
Work environment: Office based with frequent travel to the field
Travel Required: Domestic/international travel is required.
