Job Description

World Together Ethiopia is an international NGO operating in Ethiopia with the vision of helping and supporting the poorest segment of the population.

Among other projects under our Organization, LG-KOICA Hope TVET College Project is the biggest one with the objective of contributing to the creation of competent, motivated, adaptable and innovative workforce through facilitating demand-driven, high quality technical and vocational education and training which will contribute to social and economic development of the country.

The college specifically intends to bridge in transferring LG core competency in electronics and hardware specialties to the Ethiopian growing industry. The college currently has 250 students who have completed secondary education (10th grade and above).

The college aspires to become the bench to mark for all other TVET college in Ethiopia for quality training provision and a tangible proof for private-public partnership.

The organization is currently seeking to employ well experienced and qualified applicant for the following position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide training in his/her area of specialization following established college procedures in such a way that

the course material may be delivered over the entire semester in a balanced way

Encourage, guide and permit students to freely and rationally question and examine issues and various lines of thoughts in the course of their study

Give make-up class for all the classes missed

Prepare and submit results of examination on time

Use continuous assessment methods such as Quizzes, assignments, projects etc

Accept instructions of his/her superiors where such instructions are not contrary to the law, morality and/or the terms and conditions of his/her contract of employment with the college

Take a good care of the college property under his/her possession

Accept additional training assignment, when compelling circumstances arise in the department

Place of Work:

LG-KOICA Hope TVET College, Bole Sub-city, Woreda 10, inside Summit Condominium

Term of Employment:

contractual, renewable yearly based on satisfactory performance.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification:

BA/BED/MA/MED in English Language/ TEFL/ Related

Related Work Experience:

2 years and above
