Job PurposeTo provide technical support on the development, maintenance, testing and implementation of a portion of IT solutions in line with business requirements.
Accountabilities
Write program code in order to support the development and implementation of efficient and effective IT solution components.
Keep up-to-date technical systems documentation for developed IT solutions in order to support systems maintenance.
Perform unit and integrated testing of new, enhanced or fixed code in order to ensure completeness and adherence to technical specifications.
Assist in the installation, configuration and customization of IT systems ensuring compliance with WFP’s IT standards, guidelines and procedures.
Assist in the release of IT systems and provide early life support in order to prepare for and enable proper use of the IT solution.
Resolve users queries independently, escalating if required, to ensure that standard IT questions are answered and accurate information is provided.
Assist in the preparation of materials and the delivery of trainings on automated business processes to ensure efficient and effective use of IT systems.
Collect and collate data, conduct basic analysis to support the development of accurate reports.
Other Specific Job Requirements
Contribute to the base lining and tracking of business requirements through to implementation for efficient management of change;
Test and analyze IT solutions and document the match against business requirements for quality and accuracy;
Prepare clear technical systems documentation for developed IT solutions in order to facilitate IT systems development and maintenance;
Provide technical support for the system which is being used as Information and Knowledge Management portal;
Undertake upgrading of the existing local systems whenever the need arises;
Identify and Analyze user requirements so as to enhance functionality of the existing local or corporate systems;
Identify new emerging IT technologies, select appropriate one for implementation in order to ensure efficiency and user satisfaction;
Develop reports after identifying gaps in the existing systems and assist in monitoring them;
Has aided IT team members in building technical skills and staying abreast of industry developments.
Perform other related duties as required.
Desired Experience For Entry into the Role
Sound judgment; ability to understand, interpret, analyses users requirements.
Ability to resolve operational problems.
Ability to work with minimum supervision; to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Good knowledge of web2.0/3.0 technologies.
Sound knowledge of Relational Database (MS-SQL, PostgreSQL or MySQL).
Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education.
A post-secondary certificate in Computer Science, Information sciences, information systems, electrical/computer engineering or other related functional area is desirable.
Experience: At least 6 or more years of progressive work experience in the Database development field or related area.
Training and/or experience in web- programming such as ASP.NET, JavaScript’s, JSP, HTML, XML, PHP, etc.
Language
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.
Knowledge of the local language is added advantage.

Job Purpose
To deliver standard business support processes for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Receive, register and verify submitted commercial transporter and Porter invoices against the system data for correctness and thereafter submit to the Supervisor for approval.
Respond to queries on invoice processing and escalate where appropriate, in order to provide a timely and accurate service to clients.
Follow up with responsible Sub-Offices to confirm the unconfirmed deliveries in the corporate system in order to facilitate processing of invoices.
On a bi-weekly basis receive and check Porters’ invoices against warehouse work order sheets and the corporate system for correctness and thereafter process the invoices.
Perform standard filing of invoice related documents for easy and future reference and auditing purposes.
Take responsibility for data integrity to facilitate availability of accurate information in corporate systems.
Contribute to quarterly logistics cash forecast to ensure adequate provision of funds by Finance and Logistics Units at Sub-Office and Country Office.
Perform any other related activities as required.
Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education.
Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word.
Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention
Language
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English. Knowledge of the local language is added advantage.

To deliver standard business support processes for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.

Monitor and report to the Fleet and Workshop Manager the performance of the trucks/trailers to achieve maximum utilization, vehicle routing & scheduling for the timely deliveries of both Food and Non-Food-Items for Operational needs.
Ensure that minimum Health and Safety requirements are met in full, together with considerations for environmental needs.
Assess logistics trucking capacity and requirements.
Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education. Post-secondary studies, preferably technical studies (i.e general automotive mechanics) or higher national diploma in automotive engineering or transport management or Degree in mechanical engineering is an advantage.
Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in Fleet or maintenance of heavy trucks.
Knowledge & Skills:
Basic knowledge about Admin and Finance.
Language
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English.
