World Food Programme Intern Jobs in Nairobi

Job Purpose

Working in the Public and Private Sector Partnerships and Communications Unit, under the direct supervision of the Head of the unit, the Intern – will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Analysing Public Partnerships trends
    Reporting and presentation of donor intelligence documents for senior management
  • Drafting correspondence and official documents addressed to donor community.
  • Supporting the insertion of data in Salesforce in coordination with WFP Regional Bureau.
  • Supporting organization of the Country Office external events
  • Upon demand, support corporate or regional participation in key events held in Nairobi

    Standard Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or have recently graduated from a University.
  • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study;
  • Have attended courses in the last 12 months;
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written);
  • knowledge of a second UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) an added advantage.

  • Ability to prepare and present power point presentations and Excel tables.

    Terms and Conditions

    Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$1000 per month depending on the duty station of assignment.
    WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, necessary visas

    and related costs.

    Depending on the duty station of assignment, WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country.

    WFP will recognize candidates’ educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education;
