World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) Driver- Jobs in Kenya

Overview

Give support in driving/transport services, fleet management, performs general administration duties.

Duties and responsibilities

Transport Service

Provide driving services for official travel of CIMMYT staff, visitors and students as per the requests received by the Fleet Management Unit.

Airport transfers for staff, visitors, and students.

Handling of office errands to various destinations e.g., visas processing, vehicle registration and de registration, procurement, etc.).

Fleet Management

Assist in issuing vehicles to staff as directed by the supervisor.

Daily checking on vehicle status.

Assist in day-to-day maintenance of the fleet of vehicles as well as dropping and Picking CIMMYT vehicles to and from various garages.

Perform minor repairs and overall maintenance of CIMMYT vehicles.

Updating vehicle milage in the vehicle record regularly.

Support staff on vehicle issues.

Regularly share vehicle status with the supervisor.

Assist in registration of new vehicles with UNON and application of fuel stickers.

As directed, ensure vehicle fleet service, inspections, registration, and insurance are updated.

Requirements

Completed O’Level education.

3 to 5 years - Logistics management experience in a large NGO Training in defensive driving is an added advantage.

Equivalent Driver’s training with a valid driver’s license.

Education, knowledge and experience

• Completed O’Level education.

• 3 to 5 years - Logistics management experience in a large NGO

• Training in defensive driving is an added advantage.

• Equivalent Driver’s training with a valid driver’s license
