Job DescriptionWomen Support Association (WSA) is an indigenous non- political, non- religious, non-profit, humanitarian and development-oriented organization working in Ethiopia to improve the social, economic, and physical well-being of the poor women in particular and the community in general.
WSA envision Ethiopian Women Empowered. The mission of WSA is to crate conducive environment for women to realize and utilize their potentials for sustained livelihood.
Currently, WSA is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested applicants as the details described below.
General Duties and responsibilities: Lead the designing, planning and implementation of development and humanitarian programs.
Lead development of strategic plan, policy documents and guidelines to ensure program quality.
Develop sound organizational, donor and government reports
Lead branch offices with effective and efficient coordination mechanisms
Widen funding opportunity through strengthening partnership and networking with funding partners and stakeholders.
Promote the organization in different national and international level
Roll out quality
and accountability standards across program and organizational levels.
Mainstream gender across organization and program level
Priority:
Screening priority will be given for Female applicants who fulfill the minimum requirements.
Level:
Senior Management Team (SMT)
Reports to:
Executive Directress/Director
Duration:
For one year with possible extension based on performance evaluation and availability of fund.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification and Experience:
BA/BSC/MA in Social Science and related field (Management, Sociology, Development studies, Regional and Local Development, Health, Gender studies etc with at least 8 years work experience for BA/BSC holders and 4 years work experience for MA/MSC holders.
Experiences in leading different development and humanitarian programs, women empowerment and gender equality are preferable.
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy partnership with funding partners, government stakeholders and other NGOs working in partnership.
Strong communication skills.
Fluency in English both written and spoken is required.
