10. Women Enterprise Fund Audit & Risk Officer Jobs in Kenya

Reporting to the Senior Audit & Risk Officer, the job holder will support the Audit and Risk Department and participate in identification of risks, assessment, monitoring and reporting in line with the Fund’s risk management framework.

Responsibilities

Assist in checking risk management activities and compliance with internal policies, tax regulations and other statutory guidelines.

Assist in ensuring that accounting procedures of the Fund are adhered to.

Assist in developing audit management systems and internal audit programs,

Assist in the interpretation of financial policies for sound auditing practices and control.

Participate in developing and updating an internal audit manual to facilitate
compliance with auditing standards and guidelines.

Assist in preparation and implementation of annual audit plans.

Undertake audit assignments of loan applications, fund resources and systems.

Participate in institutional risk evaluation and maintenance of a comprehensive risk data base to be monitored on an on-going basis.

Efficiency audit and participate in development of risk management guidelines.

Carry out review of accounting, financial and budgetary systems under supervision by a senior auditor.

Participate in audit checks and verification of payments to ensure validity and accuracy.

Preparing initial audit observations and reports on the results of risk assessment
highlighting key vulnerabilities requiring follow up for conclusive resolution.

Participate in conducting financial and systems audit.

Participate in ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting/Finance option); from a recognized university/institution and passed CPA II or equivalent.

Served in a reputable organization for at least three (3) years in a similar position

Computer application skills

Must be registered members of CISA, CIA, ISACA or any other professional body.
