Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead in the formulation of the organizations long terms strategy as well as oversee the implementation of the same within set timelines.
Ensure compliance and implementation of Board resolutions.
Ensure the preparation and implementation of annual work plans, procurement plans, budgets, Performance Contract, goals and objectives.
Prudently manage the Funds resources within budget guidelines according to the organizational policies and government laws and regulations.
Ensure maintenance of effective internal/external controls so as to safeguard the Funds assets and oversee financial audit processes as required.
Responsible for providing leadership in the development, execution and achievement of the Funds strategic objectives.
Ensure prudent financial management, and administer with due care, the institutions assets and liabilities.
Facilitate development and implementation of appropriate human resource policies and practices that fully conform to current laws and regulations.
Build effective relationships with the Board, government, regulators, partners and other stakeholders.
Enforce a culture of regulatory compliance, good corporate governance and adherence to guidelines in place.
Engagement with stakeholders to enhance the corporate image of the Fund.
Promotion of entrepreneurship and high performing investment ventures.
Responsible for the Procurement function of the Fund as per the Public Procurement and Disposal Act.

Requirements for Appointment
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines; in Economics/Finance or in
a Business related field from a recognized University/institution.
Masters Degree in Economics/Finance or in a Business related field from a recognized University/institution.
Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks and Strategic Leadership Development course lasting at least six (6) weeks.
At least fifteen (15) years experience in public or private sector employment, Ten (10) of which must be at a senior management level in a reputable organization.
Membership to a relevant professional Body and be in good standing.
Meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
