    Our client, an accounting and tax consultancy firm, is recruiting for an Auditor to join their team..

    Job summary:

    To protect assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, and regulations.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
  • Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings.
  • Appraise adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.
  • Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures.
  • Communicate audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees.
  • Comply with government legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepare special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related
    results as needed.

    Key Requirements & Competencies
  • 4-5 years work experience as an Auditor
    CPA (K)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • Accounting experience is an added advantage
