We are currently seeking candidates to fill the role of Procurement Officer for our Headquarter Office in Kampala to assist with sourcing, procurement, and management of supplies in the organisation.

Responsibilities;


  • Identifying procurement needs of the organisation
  • Carry out day to day procurement duties for the organisation
  • Reviewing purchase requisitions
  • Awarding Supplier tenders or Preferred Supplier Agreements and supervising performance of contractors / suppliers
  • Ensure all purchasing activities follow institutional policies and government regulations
  • Ensuring that goods and services are promptly delivered
  • Making sure that vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure the project procurement records are well kept and maintained for completeness and safety
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director

    Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or other related courses.
  • Membership of professional bodies in procurement preferably in CIPS or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • At least two years’ experience working with a non-governmental organisation or private business
  • Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • High level of integrity, honesty and professionalism
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
