Organizational Context
The Regional Bureau for East and Central Africa, located in Nairobi,provides strategic and policy guidance as well as technical support to WFP operations and activities in nine countries: Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda.
At this level, job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to queries with minimum guidance.
There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen problems on a daily basis.
Working in the Scope Service Operations Unit, the selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Scope Service Operations manager and in close collaboration with other developers and system analysts.
Job Purpose
The Web Developer's main task will be to support the core services of the digital platform Scope using Python and Django framework.
