The organization has the global footprint, deep field presence and local knowledge and relationships necessary to provide access to food and contribute to lasting solutions, especially in many of the world’s most remote and fragile areas.
Responsibilities
Support the Area Office to enhance relationships with local authorities, cooperating partners and other stakeholders;
Assist in the creation, organization and management of AO partnership management materials;
Liaison between field offices and Area and Country Office programme and partnership for support of partnership activities;
Support the Area Office management in handling inquiries, including assistance with vetting & tracking inquiries, sending correspondence, sharing potential opportunities and directing requests to appropriate contacts;
Assist the Area Office in the development, compilation and management of Strategic Partnership Agreements;
Assist in partner identification/selection process including keeping track of the Request for Proposals (RFQs), the Capacity assessments, budgets discussions and liaison with the Cooperating Partners’ Committee (CPC)
Maintain well organized internal databases and information management systems;
Consistently apply appropriate policies, guidelines and procedures that support a strengthened partnership management process;
Effectively, and in a timely manner, liaises and interacts with colleagues and concerned Carry out assigned partners’ payment/invoicing ensuring that all documents are in place and are accurate and correctly entered in to global and country level digital systems;
Liaison with the Beneficiary Feedback team to track and follow-up issues raised by or affecting partners;
Generate reports to keep Field and Area Office teams on track with monthly targets and expectations;
Support Field, Area and Country Office teams in organizing events and conferences centered around strengthening of partnerships;
Adapt and update partnership administration processes,
supporting the implementation of operating procedures, contribute to the continuous improvement of partnership management services;
Assist staff in Field and Area Office to answer a range of queries related to the provision of partnership management services in order to support the resolution of daily issues;
Provide training and guidance to staff in interpretation of partnership management and related procedures, policies, processes, and use of corporate systems to ensure consistency and efficiency of services provided to all clients.
Assist in checking the correctness of invoices and payment requests from partners and facilitating timely payments to partners;
Work closely with other support services in matters of project implementation;
Carry out any other related technical assessments (including the preparation of analytical pieces and/or technical reports;
Requirements
University degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development studies, Education, Rural development or any other related field
Experience in technical and strategic cooperation frameworks;
Experience in supporting the development of proposals, applications or equivalent formal written communications;
Experience in performing thorough desk-based research with the ability to concisely summarise information and identify key points;
Experience in business processes and account management;
Skilled in using databases to record accurate and up to date information and overall proven technical skills and experience;
Highly organized and methodical, with strong time management skills;
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive, professional relationships with government and local community counterparts, donors, civil society and other stakeholders
High capacity for organization and coordination, as well as an ability to work with a high degree of independence in a team environment
Experience in managing diverse and sometimes competing interests and perspectives to arrive at a durable consensus;
Oral and Written Fluency in English
