The organization has the global footprint, deep field presence and local knowledge and relationships necessary to provide access to food and contribute to lasting solutions, especially in many of the world’s most remote and fragile areas.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance on general HR queries and follow up actions, to ensure consistent and high quality HR services are delivered to clients.
Liaise with other internal units/offices on HR related matters, i.e. payroll, contracts, etc. and provide necessary information in order to enable timely HR services.
Provide administrative support in various HR activities in the areas of work allocated by the professional officer including on boarding of new staff members in compliance with relevant processes and procedures.
Maintain confidential personnel records, HR databases and archives, to ensure data and files are accurately stored and updated in compliance with the established standards.
Provides accurate and timely information, data and advice to field management and employees on the organization’s human resources policies and procedures
Supports the development and implementation of HR solutions by understanding how the
organization works
Ensures all staff in the area of operations have job descriptions and TORs; and a copy of the Annual performance Plan (APP);
Establishes a leave plan, support implementation of the plan, share necessary forms to be completed, brief staff on their entitlements, in line with the contract terms and conditions and enter data in WINGS and send documents to the HR CO;
Input staff data in the HR management systems (WINGS, spreadsheets, etc.) as appropriate;
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field is desirable.
At least four years of progressively responsible support work experience including at least two years in the field of human resources or other related field or equivalent;
Excellent command of both written & oral English is essential;
Computer literacy i.e. knowledge and skills in using MS Office applications
Exposure to humanitarian and emergency situations is desirable.
Fluency in English is a must. Proficiency in the local dialects of Lugbara, Aringa, Madi and Luo is desirable.
