Western Kenya Water Services Company Head of Finance and Accounting Jobs

WSP/1/08/2018 The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for the financial health and viability of the Company putting in place strategies for cash flow management.

Qualifications Experience and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Accounting option] or relevant business degree from a reputable University,

Be in possession of a professional qualification and a member of a professional body in good standing {ICPAK,ACCA, or any other recognized body};

Master's Degree in Accounting. Finance or Business Administration will be an added advantage.

At least ten years post - qualification experience, 5 (five) of which should be in Finance or Operations in a busy water sector utility.

Experience of implementing ERP systems and conversant with modern online accounting systems is an added advantage.

Be computer literate and techno savvy, proven customer management experience.

Western Kenya Water Services Company Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management Jobs

WSP/2/08/2018 The successful candidate will functionally report to the Board Audit & Risk Management Committee and administratively to the Managing Director and will assure the integrity of the Company assets, the quality of management decisions and the mitigation of fraud and risk by ensuring the existence of appropriate systems and internal controls.

Qualifications Experience Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Accounting option] or a business related degree from a reputable University and a member of CIA or any other internationally recognized Accounting and/or Auditing body of good standing.

Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration will be an added advantage.

Be a member of a professional body in good standing (ICPAK or any other recognized body);

A Certified Internal Systems Auditor (CISA) will have a definite advantage.

At least ten (10) years post - qualification experience, 5 (Five) of which should be in Audit at a Senior Level in a busy commercial Water utility environment or a reputable Audit Firm.

Experience of auditing ERP systems and conversant with Water Billing Systems.

Proven people management experience and have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Have demonstrated thorough understanding of the National Goals, Policies and Development Objectives including the Kenya Vision 2030;

Be computer literate and techno savvy.

WSP/4/08/2018 The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for coordinating and providing guidance in overall Human Resource and Administration management, ensuring that the Company has in place appropriate, skilled and well-motivated workforce and administrative support that can deliver the Company's mandate.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or B. Comm.

Must be a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management IHRM or any relevant professional body.

Ten (10] year's relevant work experience, 5 (Five] of which as a Head of HR in a reputable utility Company Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management and a member of IHRM with at least five years' relevant work experience in a similar capacity.

Good knowledge of Kenyan Labor Laws and Common Human Resource practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills, high level of integrity, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.

Proficiency in computer operations skills.

WSP/5/08/2018 The successful candidate will report to the Head of Technical Services and be responsible for coordinating and providing guidance in overall electrical and instrumentation function of all electrical appliances and machines ensuring that the Company has in place appropriate preventive strategies to support and deliver the Company's mandate.

Requirements and Qualifications

Ordinary Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics engineering from a recognized Public Institution.

A Certification with relevant professional bodies will he a definite advantage.

At least ten (10) years post - qualification experience, 5 (Five) of which should be in a busy hands-on commercial service utility environment with heavy duty electromechanical equipment.

Proven people management experience and have strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Be computer literate and techno savvy.

Terms of Employment

All the above positions may be on a three 3 years renewable contract or Permanent Pensionable contracts at the discretion of the Water Services Provider, though based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
