Job Purpose
  • The Department of the Premier has an opportunity for a legally qualified person, preferably with legislative drafting experience, to be part of a dynamic team who are responsible for the legislative drafting needs of the Western Cape Government (Provincial Executive and all the provincial departments). This post is based in Cape Town.

    Minimum Requirements
  • LLB-Degree with admission as an Advocate or Attorney;

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • Constitutional and Administrative Law, public sector legislation, Interpretation of Statutes and relevant legislation and case law. Excellent legal writing and legislative drafting skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in at least English; well-developed innovative problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • sound organising and planning skills.
