Job Purpose
  • The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for 4 competent individuals to handle all employee relations matters regarding misconduct, disputes, and grievances, including but not limited to conducting investigations, drafting submissions, rendering advice and representing the employer in various fora. These post are based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree) in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Law or related field of study;
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in Labour Relations;
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • Public Service Act; Public Service Regulatons and Labour Relations Act;
  • Human Resource Management;
  • Conflict Management;
  • Appropriate labour legislation;
  • Relevant disciplinary and grievance procedures;

    Skills needed:
  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office);
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Planning, organising and execution; Written and verbal communication.
