Job Purpose
  • The Department of Mobility, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage vehicle registration and licensing process, driver fitness processes and vehicle fitness processes. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification);
  • A minimum of 5 years management level experience;
  • A valid (code B or higher) driving licence and willingness to regularly travel away from the office.

    Recommendation
    Road Traffic legislative knowledge;
  • Client Service orientated,
  • Project Management;
  • Budget and Financial management;
  • Human Resource management.

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996) and the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000;
  • National Traffic Information System (NaTIS); Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999);
  • Problem solving and decision making through analytical thinking; Communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Proven computer literacy; Planning and organising; Relationship management.
