Job Purpose
  • The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to support municipal integrated development planning. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in the Built Environment, Town/Urban Planning, Public Management, Development studies or relevant qualification;
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in development planning or local government planning.

    Competencies
    Knowledge of the following:
  • Integrated Development Planning (IDP) and intergovernmental planning, budgeting and implementation;
  • IDP policy, legislation and guiding manuals;
  • Community-based participation processes.
