Job Purpose
  • The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to support the creation of opportunities to influence economic growth and job creation through entrepreneurship, enterprise development and innovation. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) in Economics/Business/Project management or related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Enterprise or SMME (Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprise) related environments.

    Competencies
  • Public Sector Procurement as a tool for SMME development (access to markets);
  • Business development support measures;
  • Government processes and procedures;
  • Project management;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills;
  • Computer Literacy;
  • Communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Problem solving;

  • Impact and influence.
