Roles and Responsibilities

Promote Health and Safety

Conduct inspections/audits of workplaces, equipment, machinery and processes to make sure they are safe

Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations

Work in cooperation with site supervisors, engineers and other professionals to ensure the safety of worksites and work practices

Participating in continuing education on site to update knowledge of health and safety procedures

Assist with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action

Conduct training / Tool Box Talk sessions for staff on health and safety practices

Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, public holidays and Sundays when necessary

Job Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering/Science/OHS

5+ years of relevant work experience in Occupational Health or Safety environment;

Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Very good command of English and Amharic.

Good team player/resourceful and good inter-personal relationship

Smart/respectful, ability to go extra mile
