Position SummaryFunctions as part of the team in providing safe and effective care for passengers in accordance with WMC policies, procedures, and training and in compliance with regulations set forth by EPHI
Handling potentially infectious materials and any necessary patient contact are the duties that fall to the specimen collector.
You'll need to dress in full PPE including:
Gown
Gloves
Goggles or face shield
N95 respirator or close-fitting mask
Beyond the basic risk of infection with COVID-19, specimen collector must be prepared for other incidentals, ie, those inevitable errors where an errant swab triggers a nosebleed, or the provocation of the gag reflex initiates vomiting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform Oral/Nasal Swab Testing.
Collecting oropharyngeal / nasopharyngeal swab samples.
Assures confidentiality of traveler information and medical records.
Label appropriately prepares and store lab samples in accordance with required laboratory specifications.
Maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics ensuring all areas are safe and clean.

Prepare and organize supplies, and equipment to prevent wastage.
Collect and organize supplies ensuring all work areas are restocked appropriately.
Checks for expired lab tubes and supplies
Counting and ordering nonprescription supplies.
Paperwork as designated by manage
Job Requirements
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Minimum Qualification
BSC Medical Laboratory, Clinical Nurse & Diploma in Medical Laboratory.
Required Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.
This position requires frequent, prolonged periods of standing and the employee must be able to bend over.
Fluency in English language is mandatory
Fluency in other International languages is an asset
