We are looking for an Accountant to join our East Africa Operational Organization based in Nairobi, Kenya

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As an Accountant, your daily duties include but are not limited to:

Review accounting records & monthly reconciliations.

Ensure that all financial transactions in the Company are recorded in compliance with IFRS/Tax and other related statutory requirements.

Analysis and carrying out journal entries.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close and meet financial reporting deadlines.

Monthly statutory, bi-annual

and annual tax calculations and returns (e.g., VAT, Employment taxes, Withholding Tax ,Customs etc) and filing thereof.

Financial audit preparation and support during the audit process.

Ensure statutory compliance, includes annual returns submission, drafting board resolutions, updating directorship details etc.

Implementation and maintenance of internal controls.

Facilitate asset and stock verifications

Keeping abreast of changes in financial and company legislation and regulations

Supporting the Financial controller and finance team as required.

Requirements for the position:

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics

Experience: 3-5 Years in a similar position with relevant skills
