Waiter will have the most contact with the student during their dining experience; therefore it is essential that he/she is polite and courteous when welcoming guests into the dining room, during the service of the meal and must always remember to thank guests when they leave.
Responsibilities
Must understand how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
Serving & Clearing dishes, making sure the crockery is clean & polished before use
In charge of the neatness and cleanliness of the Dining Lounge
Assisting in inventory for crockery, cutlery, linens etc.
Be responsible for all workstations and for the uniforms
Responsible for coordinating entire stations and communicating with front- and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds
Observes diners to ensure that students are satisfied with the food and service
Assist with stocking, removing, and resetting dishes and silverware between courses and cleaning and resetting tables
Maintaining high standards of food, service, health and safety
Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints
Coordinating the operation of the lounge during scheduled shifts
Carry out daily inspections of the service areas for upkeep and maintenance of the equipment.
Ensuring
the service team has working tools at all times, PPEs, Uniforms, name tags, table cloth, at all time.
Attends in-service and safety meetings.
Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Assist the Chef in management of the Kitchen.
Requirements
Diploma in Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Certificate in Microsoft Office Applications.
Must have sound knowledge of food & beverage products.
Conversant with cost control reports.
1 years working experience in Food and Beverage.
At least 6 months as waiter.
