Role purpose:

  • End-to-end Programme Management of all regional projects.

  • Deliver projects within prescribed costs, time, and quality.

  • Management of Project costs and budgets.

  • Project risk management.

  • Stakeholder management and SLA/KPI management.

  • Budget planning and long-range / scenario planning for future Projects.

  • Manage a team of Project managers and/or Project leaders.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Program management of all regional-specific projects.

  • Project governance, project prioritization & implementation of best practices.

  • Review processes and practices to ensure programs are managed efficiently.

  • Compile detailed long-range project plans including scenario planning where required.

  • Liaise with different stakeholders and service providers at all levels.

  • Track progress against goals and prepare status reports/presentations on progress reviews.

  • Manage project resources, project cost, and risk register.

  • Support contract and price negotiations.

  • Responsible for Contract and SLA management.

  • Review the performance of suppliers/contractors.

  • Compile business cases for any new/future projects.

  • Compile and manage budgets – motivate and support the budget approval process.

  • Manage and direct the performance of staff against goals.

  • Responsible for managing regional Property specialists and delivery of the property-related project for DAS and
    3rd parties in the region.

    Ideally you should possess the following:

  • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.

  • Relevant 3-year Degree or Diploma such as (BSC -QS; Building Science; Civil Engineering; Town Planning or Engineering) – Essential.

  • Project management qualification essential.

  • 8 years overall experience with 5 yrs strategic Project management experience.

  • 2 to 3 years of Supervisory or Management experience (essential).

  • 2 years of Telecommunication Experience.
    Civil Experience.

    Job Knowledge:

  • Infrastructure functional knowledge.

  • Contract management.

  • Project/program management.

  • Finance/budgeting.

  • Project management planning, tracking, and risk management.
