Role purpose:

Manage and improve end-to-end field maintenance service delivery (passive and active) against SLA/contract by monitoring performance and incidents, providing and automating support systems/processes, and delivering in strategic focus areas. Managing and ensuring that the availability and congestion of the Network are kept to the lowest possible limits by providing a world-class field maintenance service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Define, implement and maintain the Field Maintenance Strategy, taking into account both best practices and Vodacom operating requirements, aligned with Vodafone strategies.

Come up with strategies to reduce the cost and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of field maintenance.

Negotiation of field services/outsourcing contracts and contract renewals/amendments including SLA’s

Monitoring & managing the quality of service of all field services operations, supplier performance and benchmark against best in class

Drive resolutions to all open issues requiring escalation and drive trouble ticket resolution

Manage end to end delivery of Field maintenance projects nationally

Manage Opex and Capex.

Provide Field maintenance services support to regions

Stakeholder management (e.g. all suppliers, Supply Chain, H & S, Legal, Security, Regions, Network Management Group

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

B Degree in Engineering or 3-year degree or diploma

in Electrical Engineering
Post Graduate qualification will be preferable e.g. MBA Project management qualification

At least 8 – 10 years of experience in Operations within a telecommunication network operator. (Essential),

Must have extensive experience in managing national outsourcing agreement contracts and ensuring delivery against SLAs

Must have at least 5 years of experience in one of the following operational areas: Radio Planning & Optimisation/Radio Maintenance & Transmission/Network Performance Management/Project Management)
