About the Organization:VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.
VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for the position of Manager, Human Resource Management Division. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities
HR and Management
Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls activities his/her Division;
Sets human resource objectives;
Prepares annual human resource activities plan, budgets and action plans;
Ascertains manpower needs of other processes based on the annual HR plan;
Reviews Job descriptions and job specifications;
Facilitates promotion, transfer and external recruitment;
Undertakes Human Resource development need analysis;
Participates in the assignment to revise/develop human resource policy;
Organizes and coordinates the work of the Division in processing a particular task;
Staff Development
Facilitates human resource development activities;
Identifies the capacity gaps for the necessary skill development;
Conducts periodic staff training needs and plans for capacity building- training and staff development;
Coordinates and develops the staff development strategy to make sure that the staff continues to achieve professional growth within VF MFI.
Staff Performance Appraisal
Develop, implement and monitor staff
performance
appraisals on a regular basis;
Reviews and upgrades the performance appraisal instrument, at least yearly to determine effectiveness and applicability;
Investigates all disciplinary and grievance cases with the respective staff, provides guidance, and corrective action through counseling, training, or instituting disciplinary procedures;
In consultation with the senior management HR & Administration, develops performance indicators and standards in promoting staff to higher posts;
Staff Management
Manages and supervises, leads, guides and supports the staff under his/her supervision;
Completes all performance management activities including: performance planning, monitoring, and annual performance appraisals of staff reporting to him/her.
Job Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related field.
Experience
7 years of relevant experience, out of which 2 years in senior position.
Technical and Other Skills
Demonstrated leadership & HRM ability to inspire and empower others;
Excellent and proven experience in strategic planning of human resource management;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies;
Integrated knowledge and understanding of human resources concepts, practices, systems, and procedures;
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision making skills;
Firm belief in teamwork and gender equality;
Computer proficiency.
