Vihiga County - County Malaria Control Program Coordinator Jobs in Kenya
Duties and responsibilitiesCoordination of all stakeholders and p0artners involved in malaria control in the County.
Planning for malaria control activities in the County based on the KNMS-2009-2017
Strengthening the capacity at the County levels in the implementation of malaria control activities.
Monitoring the strength of malaria morbidity and mortality within the County and coordinating timely and effective response to outbreaks of malaria.
Monitoring progress of implementation of all malaria control activities. Conduct quarterly malaria DQA in all facilities in the County.
Support supervision to sub-counties, health facilities ad implementation partners in the County.
Monthly progress report to, head of division and NMC based on appropriate template.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of anti-malarial commodities in consultation with County pharmacist and laboratory coordinator.
Minimum qualifications
Must have served in Job Group M for a minimum period of 3 years or it’s equivalent
Must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in health sciences.
Specialization in malaria case management is desirable.
Must be registered with the relevant regulatory body with active and valid practicing license.
Must have demonstrated leadership and good performance in the previous assignments
Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution is an added advantage
Certificate in Computer Application Skills
from a recognized institution is an added advantage
All applicants Must fulfill Chapter six of the constitution requirement
Salary Scale: The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to these positions will be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission and other recognized CBAs as applicable.
Terms of Service: All the above posts shall be on a three (3) year contract term renewable based on satisfactory performance.
