Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Janitor.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time following receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No

Duties:

Assigned as one of the janitors performing duties at the U.S. Embassy, GSO warehouse and US mission house pool during ‘make ready’ season. Performs laborer duties during absence of laborers or during increased workload in these categories.

Assigned as one of the janitors performing duties at the U.S. Embassy, GSO warehouse and US mission house pool during ‘make ready’ season.

Performs laborer duties during absence of laborers or during increased workload in these categories and other malfunctioning office appliances and equipment as well as reporting broken windows.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Education:

Completion of primary school is required.

Experience:

Six months of janitorial or general cleaning experience is required.

Job Knowledge:

Proper use of cleaning materials. Names and types of unsafe cleaning material is required.

Language:

Level II (Limited Knowledge) reading/writing/speaking of English is required.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to maintain offices clean, neat and safe is required.

Qualifications:

All applicants
