Duties

Responsible for a full range of program management responsibilities relating to the Mission's Travel Section operations. The incumbent also serves as the principal administrative assistant to the Supervisory General Services Officer (SGSO) and Assistant General Services Officer (AGSO), providing day to day management support including drafting correspondence, maintaining files, receiving visitors, and making travel arrangements. Coordinates the Time and Attendance (T&A) for the GSO staff.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

Three years' experience working in the travel or hotel industry and customer service experience is required.

Job Knowledge:

Must be aware of prevailing local regulations governing travel, tourism and hospitality standards and able to communicate these with relevant travelers on a case-by-case basis or as required by supervisors.

Education Requirements:

Completion of a university degree in travel, tourism, business administration or management is required.

Evaluations:

Language:

English - Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate; Nyanja/Bemba - Fluent; written/spoken, including ability to translate

Skills and Abilities

Must be proficient in database management and the Microsoft Office suite.

Must be able to type not less than 400 words per minute.

Must have written communication and customer service skills.
