U.S Embassy in Uganda Supply Clerk (Receiving) Jobs

Duties:

This standard job description is for a Supply Clerk (Receiving) who manages the receiving, tracking, inspection, distributing, and inventory of property management services for the Department of State and associated agencies. The position is in the General Services Section and under the supervision of the GSO Supply Supervisor (Receiving).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Education:

Completion of high school education is required.

Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property/supply management is required.

Job Knowledge:

Must have good knowledge of Department of State and Embassy supply policies and procedures, and SHEM safety guidelines.

Must have good knowledge of the internal organization of the Embassy and its numerous agencies.

Must have good understanding of supply chain management and warehouse operations to include receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing and issuing of supplies.

Must have good knowledge of computerized inventory and stock control data programs.

Evaluations: (This may be tested)

Language:

English level III (good working knowledge) Written/Speaking/Reading

Luganda level III (good working knowledge) Written/Speaking/Reading.

Skills and Abilities:

Computer competencies including basic skills in Microsoft Office applications, and related software as required, and basic math skills.

Working knowledge of inventory management tools such as handheld scanners and software.

Must have a valid, current Class B
