Duties

The Public Engagement Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) (or PAO designee) and has no supervisory responsibility. Is the leading locally employed (LE) staff adviser for the Mission's Public Diplomacy engagement with Emerging Voices and Established Opinion Leaders audience sectors. Coordinates the mission exchange programs for youth and communities.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a multilingual, multicultural, and/or multinational work environment is required, with marketing, public relations, communication, or education duties as significant components of the work.

Experience with audience or market analysis, marketing, and managing social media content, or experience in an international, academic, or governmental work environment, is required.

Job Knowledge: Optional:

Education Requirements:

University degree in Communications, Journalism, International

Affairs, Marketing, Intercultural/Multicultural Studies, or local equivalent is required.

Evaluations:

This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.

Language:

Mandatory: Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.

Skills and Abilities Optional:
