Duties This function is located in the General Services Office. The incumbent reports directly to the General Service Officer (GSO) and assists in managing the travel functions for the post. All travel services will be performed in strict adherence to USG laws, agency regulations and Post policies.
Travel services included, but are not necessarily limited to, carriers, hotels, rental cars and airport for State, CDC and MCC employees
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Experience: Two years’ experience in Travel required, and any combination that includes an additional two years experience in the air transportation sector or the travel industry is preferred.
Job Knowledge: United States Government travel-related programs, regulations and procedures. Must be able to type 30 wpm.
Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required and one or more years of University education is desired.
Evaluations:
Language: Level III ability (good working knowledge) of English and Chichewa is required.
Skills and Abilities:
Compile complex travel itineraries. Must have a working knowledge of database and spreadsheet software for Windows and be able to type at least 30 wpm.
Must give good Customer Service to our customers and be consistent, flexible, self-motivated and be able to prioritize duties.
Be able to retain information about regular flight schedules and itineraries. Utilize official Travel Regulations; be able to obtain a familiarity
of complex with Government travel Regulations.
Qualifications:
All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications and complete a mandatory probationary period for LE Staff.
