Duties

The incumbent is the principal assistant to the General Services Officer (GSO) providing day-to-day supervision and coordination of work in one or more of the GSO functional units -- housing, procurement, shipping, travel, and warehouse -- supporting a mission operation of some 88 USDH or similar positions and over 420 LE staff representing six U.S. agencies including the Department of State, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Peace Corps, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), United States Agency for International Development USAID, and the Department of Defense (DOD).

The incumbent ensures proper and timely support is provided to all Mission staff and ICASS subscribers. The incumbent monitors internal management controls to prevent waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.

The incumbent assists in the development, planning, and implementation of ongoing programs of support, budget and workforce requirements for the office, assessment of operations, and provides solutions to operational challenges. The incumbent directly undertakes tasks as needed to ensure the timely and effective delivery of GSO services.

Direct Supervisor

of Position:

Reports to the General Services Officer. Takes initiative on wide-ranging issues while receiving minimal supervision from General Service Officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Prior Work Experience:

At least three years of progressively responsible experience in real estate or property management, logistics, procurement, project management, administrative/business management, and or quality management

Education Requirements:

Completion of 2 years college or university studies is required

Language:

Level 4 English - Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate is required
