Duties

Incumbent serves as HR Assistant with primary responsibility to administer LE Staff medical benefits, pension and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) benefits. Incumbent processes all types of personnel actions and Official Residence Employee (ORE) contracts, provides support for HR outreach events, meetings or workshops/trainings and is the point of contact for families impacted by 1998 Embassy Nairobi bombing. Direct supervision provided by HR Assistant.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Experience:

Minimum of two years administrative related work experience is required.

Job Knowledge:

Must be familiar with Mission Organization in general and personnel functions in particular;

Must have thorough knowledge of Webpass usage.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary School

College studies (2 years)

Evaluations:

Language:

Level IV English proficiency (fluent, reading/writing/speaking) is required (This may be tested) and Level III Kiswahili proficiency (Good working knowledge/ reading/writing/speaking) is required.

Skills and Abilities

Must be service-oriented and possess tact and patience in various settings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Ability to be self-directed and manage time to best use.

Ability to manage information, including a high level of detail-orientation.

Ability to draft memos, cables and letters with minimal correction.
