U.S. Embassy in Ghana Mail Room Clerk Jobs

Duties

Under the supervision of the Information Program Officer (IPO), the incumbent is responsible for the proper operation of the Diplomatic Pouch Office (DPO), unclassified and classified DOS mail and pouch services. Jobholder manages the Diplomatic Pouch Office including the proper and prompt dispatch of Embassy Accra's Diplomatic Pouch Office mail and unclassified pouches according to schedule.

Process inbound/outbound classified pouch to include relevant documentation. Serves as courier escort for classified pouch and prepare commercial carrier dispatch forms for outgoing mail. Inspects and distributes incoming DPO mail. Maintain accurate data related to shipments in the Integrated Logistics Management System.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Experience:

A minimum of three years experience in office management, or a customer service field is required. One year of total experience must be as a team leader, supervisor or coach is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of at least two years of full-time post secondary education at college or university is required.

Evaluations:

Post may choose to add the phrase “This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.

Language:

Fluent English language (written/spoken) is required. This may be tested.
