U.S. Embassy in Ghana Laborer Jobs

Duties

Under the supervision of Supervisory warehouseman, jobholder performs general laboring chores throughout the Mission. Incumbent works primarily in the GSO-warehouse to unload items for delivery to customers in offices, 150 official residences and other event sites as approved.

Jobholder is a key member of mission recycling program. Work in a general laboring crew to perform the tasks of carrying, lifting, and moving Furniture, Furnishings, Appliances and Equipment (FFA&E) from one place to the other under the general direction of the Supervisory Warehouseman.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of general work experience as a laborer in a large warehouse is required.

Job Knowledge: Must have a general knowledge of warehouse operations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.

Education Requirements:

Completion of primary school is required.

Evaluations:

Language: Good working knowledge in English (Speaking, reading and writing) is required. (language proficiency may be tested)

Skills and Abilities

Ability to carry heavy loads and follow directions. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office required.

Must possess practical knowledge in the handling and filling of LPG cylinders.
