Summary
The U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Supply Clerk (GSO Property Admin Clerk).
Start Date
Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/ certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Property/Warehouse Supervisor and provides oversight and protection against waste, fraud, and abuse in the storage, issuance, replenishment, and disposal of office and residential furnishings, appliances, and equipment of all agencies subscribing to post’s ICASS Warehousing services.
Incumbent is responsible for processing and assuring completion of all paperwork associated with receiving and warehouse receipt and delivery of requests for the warehouse and garage;
Transmission of requests from the garage and warehouse to appropriate sections and personnel;
Managing reorder points and procurement requests for items needing to be ordered.
The incumbent will also assist in Welcome Kit documentation, party item control, and disposal sales.
The Property/ Warehouse Administrative Assistant also advises the Supervisor and A/GSO on needed improvements to warehouse processes and facilities for safety and efficiency and assists ICASS warehousing subscribers with property questions as needed.
Incumbent also serves as a timekeeper for the section.
Incumbent serves as an incidental operator of official vehicles and meets all requirements outlined in 14 FAM 433.

Experience
At least 2 (two) years of Administrative work or warehouse stocking experience is required.

Skills and Abilities
Must be computer literate, and familiar with Microsoft Office suite - access, excel, word, power-point, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Good customer-service skills
Attention to detail, and organizational skills, particularly for paperwork, are mandatory.
Must have Auto (2nd Grade) valid current driver's license for a car.
Must have had a valid driver's license for a minimum of 5 years. (These may be tested)

Important
Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification.
A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant.
The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain:
(1) The military service dates including the expected discharge or release date
(2) The character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
