DutiesThe incumbent provides supervisory coordination services and serves as painting foreman on the construction, repair, and maintenance of Embassy facilities. Evaluates contractor and Government employee work by visiting job sites on a daily basis to determine acceptability. Develops painting schedules for work crews, amount of materials and equipment required and bills of quantity. Writes daily work orders to generate work for painting crews and produces inspection reports of work completed.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a professional painter is required. A minimum of 1 year work experience in a supervisory position with a maintenance/construction or building trades group is required.

Language:
English Level 2 speaking/reading/writing. Amharic Level 3 speaking/reading/writing. (This may be tested)
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to use all tools and equipment of the painting trade.
Must be able to work un-supervised and inspect subcontractor’s work for compliance.
He/she must be able to lift 40 kilos, work off a ladder at heights over three meters.
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Possess minimum of class II driving license. (This may be tested).

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

Important:
