DutiesManages tenants' requests for maintenance and repairs at leased properties.
Acts as liaison between tenants, landlords, and embassy sections to resolve a variety build trades related issues.
Serves as the building trades subject matter expert within the GSO Housing team.
Provides regular status updates to tenants and provides onsite checks to confirm work is completed per the occupants request.
Liaises with the landlords on all maintenance and repairs tasks with a focus on making sure that the process is seamless to the tenant.
Works with contractors and landlords to ensure work performed by them meets embassy standards.
Coordinates escorts for landlords and contractors.
Enters access requests in myServices and follows up with all parties (GSO and RSO) until full approval is granted. Serves as a back-up escort as needed.
Performs general clerical, administrative, and procurement functions in support of the Housing unit.
Provides recommendations to landlords when it comes to where to source residential parts and materials from locally.
Assists with drafting correspondence to landlords, tenants, or management.
Resolves myServices requests in the system. May be required to perform data entries into the theembassy's housing system RPA.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years relevant work experience in building or construction is required with focus on coordination, monitoring, and quality control and inspection is required.
Education Requirements:
Completion
of Secondary School (Form VI) is required.
One year vocational Training in Building or Construction is required.
Evaluations:
Language: Level III (good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) in English and Kiswahili is required. (This may be tested)
Must have a valid driving license (B & D) is required.
