Duties

Performs all duties as escort of controlled material/pouches to and from airport or other locations as directed. The position is part-time; some after-hours, weekend and holiday work may be required.

This position is supervised by the Pretoria Regional Diplomatic Courier Hub (PRDCH) Supervisor. Incumbent must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a Top Secret security clearance, and in possession of a diplomatic passport for courier escort duties.

The primary place of work is the classified pouch vault of the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria. The incumbent possesses specialized expertise in the demanding field of classified logistics.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

Experience:

At least one year of prior U.S. government experience in an office, management and/or security-related position is required.

Skills & Abilities:

Must be able to physically move and lift pouch bags and crates up to 50 pounds, when other assistance is not available

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.

Evaluations:

Language:

Mandatory: English Level fluency (reading/speaking/writing) is required. (This may be tested)

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
