Rooting Democracy in Kenya Through an Informed Citizenry
Introduction
Uraia Trust is a national organization that supports democratic transformation processes in Kenya. Its mission is"To provide quality civic education and empower Kenyans to exercise their civic duty in order to realize their constitutional aspirations." Uraia is non-partisan organisation that seeks to work with organizations, which espouse this value.
Uraia's work in the period 2016 to 2020 focusses on four Key Focus Areas (KFAs), which are:
Uraia Trust wishes to invite civil society organizations to participate in the implementation of the above Programme: "Rooting Democracy in Kenya through an Informed Citizenry" - Phase Two in 3 select counties. The goal of this Programme is to contribute towards developing an informed, empowered and democratic nation.
Eligible Counties:
This is a county based call which only targets the following three counties:
The call targets only county-based organisations with physical presence in the county.
